HOW 2008 International Design Annual
Well, here it is. The HOW Magazine that I was published in. This is a holy crap! moment for me. Who would have thought?

Hanger3.com update
A lot of things have been going on. I haven’t had a whole lot of time to update the journal. But here’s a little bit of what’s been going on.
Hanger3.com has been featured in HOW Design Magazine. Check it out. Its the blue cover, International Design Issue.
I have a new full time job. I have taken a position as an Interactive Designer at the corporate headquarters at one of the largest brick and mortar book stores. Here’s a hint: Mexico and Canada are B _ _ _ _ _ s of the US.
And automated emails now work properly. When you sign up, place an order, forget your password, Hanger3.com will now send you an email to notify you. This was a huge issue that I have been working on trying to figure out for almost a year now. And now its fixed. So no more worrying about if your order was shipped or not.
Im sure there’s more to talk about, but I need to get back to work.

Friday September 14th, Hanger3.com will be shown the The Early Show on CBS. As part of Real Simple magazine, The Early Show will be showing gift ideas from the gift guide.

In Case of Fire Use Stairs
This sign is in the apartment building that I live it. I thought it was funny. Why would they show that you need to run up the stairs if there’s a fire?

Set your DVR’s
I just got word from Real Simple, that Hanger3.com will be in a special gift guide segment on the CBS Early Morning Show. They will be on the September 14th show. Big news indeed. I think I owe it to Real Simple to subscribe to their magazine for everything they have done for me in getting Hanger3.com off the ground.
As soon as the episode airs, I will post a link to the segment, just in case you missed it.

Known Issues
There are a few known issues dealing with the site. Non of which will hinder your ordering experience. All orders still go through, and nothing will slow down the process. These issues are currently being worked on right now.

A Cure for the Hiccups.
There are a lot of tips from friends when it comes to hiccups. They try and scare you, they tell you to drink a glass of water on your head, or hold your breath for 30 seconds. None of these have worked for me. There is one thing that has worked 100% of the time. No kidding. 100%. It’s not a fluke either. All you need is a spoon-full of peanut butter. A spoon-full, not a little dab. Just eat it, and your hiccups will be gone. Guaranteed.
Everybody that I have told this to, just blows it off. They tell me that they’ve tried everything. But peanut butter? And yet they complain about their hiccups. So I make things interesting, and lay money down on the table. I tell them that if it doesn’t work, they can have the $20. They finally take the bait. And in order for it to be fair, I get the spoon of peanut butter ready for them. I’ve seen it where not enough is used, and it doesn’t work. I hand over the spoon, and wait. 10 minutes later, and no hiccups yet. The next day, they come in telling everybody that peanut butter really works.
So, please, if you hate having the hiccups, try a spoonful of peanut butter. It works, really works. I’ll lay down $50 virtually if it doesn’t. But, DO NOT take peanut butter if you are allergic to it. You’ll have bigger problems on your hand.

Real Simple is out now.
This month Hanger3.com is featured in a special family issue of Real Simple. From what I hear, Hanger3.com is on page 79. This is the first publication that Hanger3.com has been in. This is very exciting. While the issue has only been known to have been out for a few days now, it is un-known what this will do to Hanger 3’s traffic. The average number of hits so far in months past has been about 30 unique visitors each day. August 1st we had 99 unique visitors. The most visitors we have had in one day was around 1500 when we were featured on Uncrate.com. For a startup, who knows where this is going to head. It hasn’t been a year yet since the doors opened, and a lot of things have happened.
