Robert Rath (Sylvester Stallone) just wants to retire. Unfortunately, hit men typically don't get the chance to walk away from their line of work. They know too much and can cause their employers too much trouble. Miguel Bain (Antonia Banderas) is a young hit man with much to prove and is sent after Rath to make sure that his retirement is short. Rath has always made sure that his hits are clean and that he is protected by only using newer technologies to communicate with his employers, so he is taken aback when one of his contracts is stolen by Bain and the chase between the two explodes into action. Rath uses all his resources to complete one last job and to hunt down Bain before Rath finds himself in Bain's sights.
