Howdy, Good Buddy, I'm gonna kill you. A practical joke on the CB gets 3 young people into a highway nightmare. When Lewis Thomas (Paul Walker) drives cross-country to pick up his girlfriend at college, his trouble-making brother Fuller (Steve Zahn) tags along. They are driving at night and Fuller is bored. So he start's teasing "Rust Nail" on the CB. Pretending to be a sexy woman called "Candy Cane" he suggests they meet at a motel. Lewis doesn't think the joke is a good idea but it's over. Or is it? The boys get to the college and pick up Venna (Leelee Sobieski) and start back home. Suddenly, a voice comes over the CB. It seems "Rusty Nail" didn't appreciate the joke and somehow he knows who they are and where they are. And now it's time for his joke.
