Dr. Sebastian Caine (Kevin Bacon) is working on a major experiment. Funded by the government, Caine creates and tests a working prototype of a drug that renders what ever it's injected into completely invisible. When their government agency refuses to fund human research on the project, Caine tests the drug on himself. While successful, the rest of the team can't find a way to bring him back to visibility. Without being able to see himself anymore and becoming impatient with the team, Caine slips into insanity and wrecks havoc on his fellow teammates and others.
