Set in a science fiction future world where humans are tightly controlled by android police, THX1138 (Robert Duvall) is just another worker in the production line. Living and working underground in the facility, humans' emotions are controlled by the forced consumption of medication. THX1138's female room mate, LUH 3417 (Maggie McOmie) stops taking her medication and begins substituting THX1138's with placebos. After experiencing true human emotional and feeling, a plan is hatched to escape to freedom. Before this happens, they are caught and imprisoned. Another prisoner, SEN5421 (Donald Pleasence) assists in the escape effort. Will they be able to evade the security and find freedom?
